OUT OF STORAGE CHECK LIST

At the start of each season it is a very good idea to check out your RV before you make your first trip.  Use the check list below as a starting point in what items to check.  If you don’t feel comfortable testing the items listed here, just call your friendly dealer to arrange a time for them to check these items.  A little preventative maintenance can help you avoid being “broken down” on the road, ruining your trip.

q     De-winterize the water system and check for leaks.

q     Fill the fresh water tank and check the operation of the water pump.

q     Perform a leak test on the LP system using a good manometer.

q     Check and adjust the propane system for the correct pressure.  Again, using a good manometer.

q     Start up and check all the appliances for operation and clean and adjust the burner tubes as needed.

q     Check the operation of the roof-top air conditioner and clean or, in some cases, replace the filter.

q     Check the tires for proper air pressure and for any weather-checking or cracks.

q     Check the wheels for worn bearings and grease seals.

q     Check the operation of the electric brakes.

q     Check out the interior and exterior lights

q     Inspect the roof and roof vents for cracks or possible leaks.

Again, if you are not comfortable checking these items yourself, simply take this list to your dealer and as them to check these items for you.  Many dealers will have pre-season special pricing for the early birds wanting to get this work done before the “busy season’.  By checking these items you will be all set to enjoy your first trip of the season, and many potential problems can be avoided.  This will allow you to go on your trip with peace of mind so you can relax and enjoy the great outdoors.
